Dr. Hari Bogabathina is a cardiologist specializing in general and interventional cardiology. As the founder of Lafayette Heart and Vascular Clinic, Dr. Bogabathina is dedicated to providing expert, compassionate cardiovascular care to patients throughout Acadiana.
Dr. Bogabathina earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from the University of Health Sciences/Sri Venkateswara Medical College in Tirupati, India, in 2000. He moved to the United States to complete his internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York, followed by his Internal Medicine residency at the UAB Montgomery Internal Medicine Residency Program in Montgomery, Alabama.
For more than a decade, Dr. Bogabathina practiced as an Internal Medicine physician and hospitalist, caring for patients with complex medical conditions. During this time, he found himself particularly fascinated by cardiac MRI and congestive heart failure. This growing passion eventually led him back to specialized training to pursue his professional calling: cardiology.
Dr. Bogabathina completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport (2015-2018), followed by an advanced Interventional Cardiology fellowship at LSUHSC-Shreveport, finishing in 2020.
Throughout his training, he contributed significantly to cardiovascular research, presenting at national and international conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals. His research focused on advanced cardiac imaging, innovative interventional techniques, and treatment strategies for complex cardiovascular conditions.

Dr. Bogabathina provides telemedicine consultations and remote interpretation services for hospitals, clinics, and telemedicine programs, including EKG/ECG interpretation, echocardiogram reading, vascular ultrasound analysis, and cardiac rhythm monitoring.
